An Outrage

My jaw just about hit the floor when I heard that a judge had sentenced Scooter Libby to 30 months in prison.  For what???  For having a bad memory in a case where no crime was even committed?  If anyone should be investigated and prosecuted for outrageous conduct it is that pompous Patrick Fitzgerald.  Apparently that guy knew very early on that it was Richard Armitage who had leaked Valerie Plame's CIA association.  As soon as he found that out he should have either charged Armitage (which he couldn't, since no crime was committed) or shut down the investigation.  Everything beyond that point was a huge waste of taxpayer money.

Bush should pardon Libby immediately.  I doubt if he will though.  He doesn't seem to have the guts to do it.
